The IVRRV commission envisions a society where citizens communities are healed from past atrocities and human right violations through truth seeking, acknowledgment and restorative justice.

The commission`s mission is to work across the Somali region to address the causes and consequences of the atrocities inflicted on individuals and communities and ensure justice and accountability, reparations and compensations for collective healing and to put in place comprehensive reconciliation mechanisms which will lead to peaceful future.
